Young Adults

Young Adult Ministries at Ste. Anne and Most Holy Trinity

The Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit and our sister parish, Most Holy Trinity, together offer many ways for adults aged 18-35 to get involved, make new friends, explore their faith and grow in their relationship with Christ.

Contact Fr. Ryan for more information or if you simply want to talk about your faith, your life or anything at all. He can be reached at 313-496-1701 or You can also contact our Youth and Young Adult Minister at

Corazon Puro
This national young adult group was formed in New York and we are pleased to offer it in Detroit. The group explores St. John Paul II’s teachings on love and explores questions like Who is God and who am I? What does it mean to be a humble person in Christ? What is authentic love?

We meet on the last Sunday of every month. During Covid, we have been attending talks via Facebook live with engaging speakers. The talks are on the last Sunday of the month at 8 p.m. When things go back to normal, we will again meet in person at Most Holy Trinity Church at 6:30 p.m. for quiet prayer, followed by Mass at 7 p.m. and then a live talk and fellowship.

All of our programs are in English. We also hold other fellowship events (lately as allowed under public health guidelines) such as bonfires and dinners.

You never need a reservation to attend and everything is free. Our Facebook page (under the name Cor Ignis Detroit) is here

Sunday Night Mass
Join us every Sunday night at 7 p.m. at Most Holy Trinity Church for a special Mass designed with young adults in mind. Contemporary music, candlelight and inspired preaching create a spiritually fulfilling Mass that you will want to attend every week. Our celebrants are young adults themselves: Fr. Ryan Adams and Fr. Patrick Gonyeau.

Fr. Patrick and his prayer team will do healing prayer for anyone who needs it after Mass.

From June – August, we hold this Mass outdoors on the plaza at the Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit.

First Fridays
Temporarily Suspended
Would you like to talk to a priest but are reluctant to make an appointment? No problem! Just walk in to Most Holy Trinity Church on the First Friday of the month from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. and Fr. Ryan will be there. He can help with Confessions or spiritual advising.

Or would you rather just pray quietly? You’re welcome to do that, too. Our church will be filled with peaceful music and a calm atmosphere, with Eucharistic Adoration.

Just walk in. We would love to see you.

Jornadas is a young adult group that works to develop leaders; strengthen the faith of its members; serve Christ, His Church and His people; form disciples of young men and women; and establish strong friendships among its members.

Jornadas typically holds a retreat in the summer where new members can explore their faith and be welcomed into the group. After experiencing the summer retreat, new members can begin to attend weekly Jornadas meetings.

Jornandas operates year-round as an active parish group that organizes service projects, helps with Mass, and teaches the faith to others.

Marian Consecration for Young Adults – Mondays at 7pm beginning November 8, 2021
All sessions are in Spanish
Marian consecration is the act of entrusting one’s body, soul, possessions, works, and entire life to the Virgin Mary. We consecrate ourselves to Mary, who is our loving mother and will always provide the best for us. We will meet each week to discuss our reading from every day. We will learn more about Marian Consecration from videos and personal testimonies. This is a great next step to increase your devotion to Mary. She helps us to be a more favorable gift for her son, Jesus Christ. Contact Daniel Magareno at for more information.

Cafe Con Santos
