Music at the Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit 

The Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit has a vibrant and active music ministry, spanning all ages and abilities. We believe that everyone can participate in the musical life of the parish, and all are welcome to participate in parish music ministry. Music ministry is divided into several groups, and you can find more information about these groups below. Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit Choir 
The Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit Choir is comprised of parish members who sing at the 12:00 noon Mass on Sundays, as well as various Holy Days and special events throughout the year. This choir is open to all, including visitors, and no prior musical experience is required.  

Spanish Choir and Instrumental Ensemble 
The Spanish Choir and Instrumental Ensemble provides music for the 10:00 AM Mass every Sunday, which is said in Spanish. For special events and bilingual masses, the Spanish Choir and Instrumental Ensemble joins forces with other groups to provide music ministry. Instruments include guitar, drums, keyboard, and various others. Join this group as a singer, instrumentalist, or simply a lover of music! Gabriel Richard Schola 
This group is comprised of more advanced singers who perform sacred works both modern and ancient. With an emphasis on the rich polyphonic music of the Renaissance as well as plainchant, this group performs for special events throughout the year, including Christmas Eve, the Easter Triduum and Novena. Gabriel Richard Brass 
This group is comprised of brass musicians who provide music for special events throughout the year, including Christmas Eve, the Easter Triduum, Novena, and Rendezvous. This group often performs in tandem with the Gabriel Richard Schola. All brass instrumentalists are welcome, and membership is by audition. Ste. Anne Shrine Festival Choir 
The Ste. Anne Shrine Festival Choir is a large choir comprised of singers of all abilities from throughout the Detroit area. The Festival Choir sings for large events during the year, including the Novena. This group sings large choral works as well as liturgical music. Membership in the group is open to all, regardless of previous experience or musical ability. To join, email Joe Moss at joseph.moss@steannedetroit.org.

Children’s Christmas Pageant  
Each year, for the 4:00 PM Children’s Mass on Christmas Eve, the children of the Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit present a pageant telling the story of the birth of Jesus and his Epiphany. As part of the pageant, the children sing several songs for the attendees at the Mass, as well as provide music for the liturgy. This program is presented as part of the catechism program at Ste. Anne. Participation is open to all children of the parish, regardless of previous experience.
