Music at Ste. Anne
Ste. Anne is an active parish with a lively music program. There is a Spanish music group who play guitar and sing every Sunday at the 10:00 a.m. Spanish Mass, and every Thursday at the 7:00 p.m. Mass. At noon Mass on Sunday, six members provide the music for the English Mass. For our several bilingual Masses throughout the year (for example, holy days, Christmas, and the feast day of Ste. Anne) both groups are combined to provide the very best music from both languages for our parishioners and visitors.
Member ages range from 12 to 92 years. There are four junior high school age children who play brass instruments and accompany the pipe organ in the sanctuary for special Masses, playing hymns and different fanfares as preludes.
Ste. Anne also has many guest musicians and choirs throughout the year who serve for special Masses, and other times, depending on their availability. During the Novena to Ste. Anne in July, musicians and choirs representing different ethnicities within the Catholic Church provide the music.
New members to our parish choirs are always welcome. Please contact Christopher Loeffler for more information at 586-864-6340.
