Our parish, founded by French missionaries in 1701, is the second oldest continuously operating Catholic parish in the United States and the oldest Christian community in Detroit. Today our parish is rich in diversity and is home to parishioners of many ages, cultures and backgrounds.

Our current church was built in 1886. Its soaring neo-Gothic architecture, incredible stained glass windows, impressive side altars and statues, and dazzling starred ceiling make it an important landmark in the City of Detroit.
